LGA Certification LGA Quality is a comprehensive test that insures a product stands up to its claims of long lasting quality. LGA Quality focuses on the craftsmanship of a product and does not analyze the product for harmful substances. If you are concerned about chemicals in an LGA Quality product, please look for the LGA Tested certificate that shows a product is free of all harmful substances. Manufactures may have had their products tested for harmful substances with other certification methods as well.
ECO Certification The eco-INSTITUT-Label is awarded to low-emission and low-pollutant products: Building materials, floor coverings, mattresses, bedding, furniture and consumer goods. Extensive lab testing is performed in test chambers capturing all emissions from the product (according to ISO 16000). Depending on the product group further compound analysis is performed on selected parameters such as heavy metals, pesticides, and halogen organic compounds.
GOTS Certification The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading processing standard for textiles (clothing, home textiles, and personal care products) made from certified organically produced raw materials. It includes strict environmental and social criteria for operations along the entire textile supply chain. GOTS is recognized in all markets around the globe and the numbers are growing; in 2013 more than 3080 facilities worldwide were certified to GOTS.
OEKO-TEX® Certification The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent test and certification system for all stages of processing, from textile raw and intermediate to end products. OEKO-TEX® can test and certify articles such as yarns, fabrics, treated fabrics, manufactured articles (clothing of all kinds), domestic and household textiles, bedding, towels, soft toys and much more.
CertiPUR-US® CertiPUR-US® is a not-for-profit certification program for foam used in bedding products and upholstered furniture. When you see the CertiPUR-US® seal, you can be confident that the flexible polyurethane foam inside meets CertiPUR-US® standards for content, emissions, and durability, and has been analyzed by independent, accredited testing laboratories. CertiPUR-US® approved foams are made without ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead and other heavy metals, formaldehyde, and phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. CertiPUR-US® approved foams also have low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).
