Yes. The wool insurance plan. A great way to safeguard your incredible bedding from the inevitable accidents and to make it last as long as possible from the get-go.
How can this fabric be a moisture barrier? Good question! It’s the wool, plus the way it’s woven, that makes it naturally water repellent; tightly woven and slightly felted. It lays flat on top of the mattress and is held in place by the fitted sheet without straps. This is a natural replacement for a vinyl plastic or synthetic mattress cover.
The nap of the surface is water resistant and keeps dampness from getting through. These “Puddle Pads” are an essential item for parents of little ones available in both bassinet and crib sizes, but are also available in “grown up” bed sizes.

Spring & Latex Mattresses and Foundations Warranty (WJ Southard)
How long should it really last? Nothing lasts forever with the exception of true love and diamonds. And last we checked, you cannot make a mattress out of love alone; and a mattress made out of diamonds wouldn’t be very comfortable. After 10 years, which is roughly 3,650 nights, or approximately 29,200 hours of unceasing sleep on our organic mattress, you can imagine that your mattress might be exhausted at this point. And its materials may have aged so much, that it cannot give you the kind of support you need. (After 29,200 hours of work, you might not be able to do your job either.) And that’s why we recommend purchasing a new mattress after a tenyear time period. Wait… did you just say that it will last 10 years, but you offer a 25 year warranty? Correct, this is why we have a prorated warranty because after 10 years, most mattresses begin to give out and start to lose some of its comfort and support. Until recently, we preferred to only offer 10 year warranties, but everyone else is giving prorated 20 and 25 year warranties. And, people believed that our mattresses weren’t as good as our competitors because we gave a shorter warranty even though you need to pay to get a replacement after 10 years. So, we gave into peer pressure.
What should I do if I think that I have a warranty claim? Please review the exclusions. (We just hope that you read them before you purchase your mattress so that it isn’t a surprise.) If you believe you have one, please contact the retailer that you purchased the mattress from. Provide them with a description and photos of the defect. If your retailer is unable to assist you, please email our customer service representative, Haywood Jabuzoff, at info@wjsouthard.com. If you don’t hear from us, we are ignoring you and hoping the problem will go away. In all seriousness, if you don’t get a response within 48 hours, please try again. Or, post it on a complaint website. And, then like most companies, we will finally respond. Out with the Old. After your mattress has reached its natural life expectancy, return the materials to nature by recycling your mattress. Please contact us to find out more about a recycling program in your area. We know you’re itching to make up your bed, and crawl beneath the sheets (if we haven’t already put you to sleep.) We apologize for the short delay, but appreciate your taking the time to read our care instructions and warranty. Sleep well.
Latex Mattress and Foundations Warranty (Natural Sense)
NATURAL SENSE Warranty All of our products are warranted to be free from defects for the life of the warranty listed below. Mattresses , Latex Toppers & Foundations The benefit of our “Full Warranty” is not readily apparent. Currently, we are the only mattress company that has a “Full Warranty.” All of our Natural Sense latex is warranted for 15 years. This includes any loss in firmness (over 10%) or from forming any visible indentations. Rather than offer a prorated warranty, we will credit the full value of the mattress/topper towards an identical product’s current retail price. We will replace, only, the failed component(s). If there is a difference there will be a fee and there are no refunds. If you suspect that your mattress is getting softer, try applying pressure to an area that doesn’t get much use and compare it to an area that does, such as your hips. If the difference is noticeable, you probably have a warranty claim. All of our Organic Mattresses are covered for biodegrading beyond slight crumbling of the foam’s edge, as long as it was properly encased. We do not warranty against mold; natural cotton can mold. Be wary about using your mattress on the floor, solid bases, or with bed bug/allergy cases. All these products don’t allow the organic mattress to breath properly and mold may develop on the organic cotton casing. The standard warranty for the industry is 10-20 years, prorated (decreases over time), and requires depressions of 1 1/2" to form. The problem with these types of warranties is that the mattress will often soften to the point you’ll experience back pain, yet their warranty will not cover your mattress if depression is under 1 1/2”. You will need to purchase a new one even after 6 months. Read the fine print.
Crib Size Spring & Latex Mattresses Warranty
GREENCRADLE’S 20 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY AND ASSURANCE OF QUALITY Your mattress and the box spring are free from known defects, created under a pledge of providing superior construction and attention to detail. This warranty covers all components and covers against defects in materials and manufacturing. Should a failure occur in any of these components, including the spring, core, basic construction or cover, Greencradle will gladly repair or replace your mattress and/or box spring at its own discretion. You will be asked only to cover the cost of shipping. This warranty is F.O.B. Sherman Oaks, CA and is not transferable. While Greencradle strives to ensure your satisfaction, a few conditions beyond our control may invalidate this warranty: • Our extensive commitment to superior quality and raw materials results in a mattress so luxuriously dense that its weight must be supported and distributed properly across the foundation. As a result, the warranty may be invalidated should the mattress be used with a box spring other than the Greencradle’s. Platform beds are acceptable, provided the distance between each slat does not exceed three (3) inches. Crib mattresses do not require a box spring. • The mattress has been folded or bent. • The box springs have not been properly supported. • There are signs of improper care such as stains, burns or compacting due to insufficient turning. All necessary replacements or repairs which are determined by Greencradle to be caused by manufacturing defects will be non-prorated for ten (10) years from the date of purchase. After ten years, repairs or replacement will be prorated based on a 20/2 percentage basis. During the 11th year, you will receive a repair or replacement credit equal to 20% of the original price. The credit will decrease by 2% each year for the following nine (9) years. All Innerspring mattresses have 10 year non-prorated warranty. Please note that Greencradle cannot be responsible for claims associated with the handles, normal wear, fading or stains to the cover, issues of firmness, allergies or sensitivity to materials. Mattresses or box springs sold “as is” or as “floor models” are outside the coverage of this warranty as well. The natural components of your mattress will respond to interactions with the human body. Gentle body impressions and subtle shifts in support characteristics are perfectly normal. They will in no way diminish the performance of your sleep system. Body impressions (up to 1½” latex / 1½” innerspring) caused by the natural materials in your mattress conforming to your individual characteristics are not considered a defect. Please flip and turn your mattress every 3-6 months. If your mattress is a one sided mattress that does not require flipping then simply rotate every 3-6 months. To safeguard against damage, always have at least two people to flip the mattress. Use the handles only to guide the mattress into place after flipping. The handles cannot support the mattress’s weight and will detach if you try to lift the mattress. A suggestion… Attach your invoice or sales slip to this warranty and file them together in a safe place. Should you need to make a warranty claim, you will be asked to present your original invoice. REFRESHING THE APPEARANCE Any easy, natural way to revive the beauty of your mattress is spot cleaning with a solution of 1:3 parts white distilled vinegar and water. Spray the solution on the spot, and then expose it to direct sunlight until the stain fades and any scent of the vinegar disappears. Make sure the mattress is entirely dry before returning it to use. If you prefer to use a non-toxic spot cleaner, follow the manufacturer’s directions and make sure the cleaner dries completely before you use your mattress.

Unused mattress height variations Comfort preference Body impressions, compression, ridges, nesting, or sagging in the mattress that measures less than 2”-3” Damage due to misuse or abuse, improper care, inappropriate or incorrect bed frame use Ver 5.30.13 Fabric stains, soiling, fluid penetration, tears or burns Alterations to original structure or design Important Information Shepherd’s Dream LLC® reserves the right to refuse service and invalidate the warranty when the mattress, even if defective, is in an unsanitary condition (due to blood or bodily fluid stains, pathogens or soiling, infestation or other unhealthy substances or abuse), when the mattress has evidence of damage from liquid penetration, cleaning or the use of cleaning fluids, or whenever the product failure is caused by factors other than defective workmanship or materials. Allowing the mattress to be in an unsanitary condition may damage the product and invalidate the warranty. For the health and safety of anyone who would be required to dispose of, or otherwise handle the mattress, Shepherd’s Dream LLC® may refuse to inspect such products to assess whether covered by the warranty, in which case, Shepherd’s Dream LLC® reserves the right to deny warranty coverage. The use of cleaning fluids may damage the fabric and materials in your mattress. Allowing water or other liquids to penetrate your mattress may damage the layers of wool causing materials to excessively compress, felt and mold. Any of these situations may result in damage that will invalidate your warranty. This warranty is given by the Shepherd’s Dream LLC® whose name and address appear on the law tag attached to your mattress. We recommend that you examine the law tag attached to your mattress and record the date manufactured, size, and weight on this warranty. Eco-Wool™ Eco Wool is produced to the highest standards on local American farms; some of these standards are beyond those specified for organic materials. Eco Wool is not certified organic. At this time very little organic wool is available on the market; almost no organic wool is grown in the United States. We have access to organic wool from New Zealand that is pure and clean, though due to it being only one type of wool, it doesn’t offer the kind of resilience or bounce that our Premium Eco Wool™does. Our Eco Wool is a blend of about 7 different types of woolvarying from fine to coarse in order to create the most ideal wool fiber for use in bedding. Our WOOL is Premium Eco-Wool™ .
